Why your support makes a difference to the lives of many, many people
Residents and businesses in our area donated generously to the Lechlade and District Lions in 2021, making it a record-breaking year for our fundraising despite Covid.
In 2021 we gave away about £10,000, and we thought we’d tell you where your donations went!

60% went to local good causes
Cirencester Food Bank (which supports over 10 local families) - £1,500
Little Learners Foodbank (Lechlade) - £250
Little learners building upgrade - £500
Laptop provision for local Schools - £1,400 (Fairford Primary, Farmors, Lechlade St Lawrence)
Direct support for families in difficult situations - £1,200
Fairford and Lechlade Xmas Lunches, (now Easter) - £500.

Severn Freewheelers - motor cyclist volunteers who deliver blood and organs for the NHS - £600
Wiltshire Air Ambulance which services our area - £600
Hope for Tomorrow which provides mobile cancer support services - £600
Sight savers who provide Third World sight saving operations - £600
Help Madina - a charity run by two local doctors who visit and directly provide medical support to Madina, a village in Sierra Leone - £600 plus £200 for an insulin supply emergency.

The LCIF provides immediate funding (often matched by Governments).
