Lions at Play

Although it sometimes feels like it, it isn't all hard work.  We have an active social life together along with our partners.  At start of each Lions' year at the beginning of July we hold our “Changeover BBQ” during which much food and drink is consumed.   The occasion also has a serious note, it is the time when the outgoing President passes the badge of office to the new one.  It is also an opportunity to reflect of the old year and to look forward to the new.

We hold safari suppers where we travel between different members houses for different courses.  Pub skittles nights are always popular and we sometimes challenge neighbouring Lions clubs to a match.  Pub Walks are always well attended and end up in a local hostelry for something like ham, egg and chips or Baguette and a pint.

Time for Lions to relax

With several of our members true wine connoisseurs it seems only sensible to try and spread thier knowledge to other members.

Games Nights are a great way to get together but competitiveness can sometimes take over

Midsummer means strawberries so what better  way to spend an afternoon than strawberries and cream with a glass of Champagne.
