Each year RAF Fairford hosts the worlds largest military air tattoo. The Show is attended by over 200,000 and massive resources are needed  to ensure the show runs smoothly. Lechlade Lions have the responsibility of ensuring that the public get into the show through the entrance gates  with the minimum of fuss. It doesn't always run as smoothly as we would like especially in these times of increased security. The job is far to  much for the members of the club alone and we get the support of many  of other nearby Lions Clubs. There is a lot of hard work involved. Planning  usually starts as soon as the previous show has finished but really gets under way in January. When the big days come it means an early start arriving  at the base at 6:00 a.m. It is then non stop until about 3:00p.m. Our  effort is well rewarded with the RAF Benevolent Fund adding generously  to our funds.
